Coaching and its Benefits 

 

Coaching is a tool that empowers individuals to reach their goals. It will benefit you in many different areas of life as you gain clarity through increased self-awareness, self-knowledge and self-insight. 

 

My tailored approach will: 

  • empower you to use new personal skills and strengths to achieve your goals

  • teach you to use past experiences to overcome future problems

  • enable you to intrinsically motivate yourself as you demonstrate and model your values on a daily basis.
     

We will work together in partnership to:

  • discover what really matters to you, ensuring that your beliefs have a positive purpose and moves your life forward.

  • identify and eradicate any fears or negative self-talk that could stop you from being successful in any area of your life.
     

What Coaching is not

 

Coaching is not about giving you suggestions or advice. Neither is it about making judgements about you or your situation, and it is not about making decisions for you. 

 

How Coaching Works

 

Different coaches use different models to structure their sessions. I use the popular GROW model, which is an acronym for the areas explored: Goals, Reality, Options and Way forward. The GROW model keeps you moving forward towards your goal by raising self-awareness through powerful questioning, focused listening and the use of relevant tools to assist you to create a practical and realistic step-by-step action plans to reach your goals.

 

I also use Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) throughout my coaching sessions, with a focus on how you talk to yourself and to others, as words create our experience, direct and filter our attention, impact on our emotions, and ultimately lead to our choices and actions.
